SNOW DAY!!!

Growing up in northeastern Ohio, I went to bed many a winter's eve hoping and hoping for an early morning surprise of a snow day. When I moved away to Arkansas for university, I thought my days of looking forward to snow days were over. Surprisingly there was a crazy ice storm that hit the week of finals, but unfortunately nothing was canceled. Well, now I'm an elementary school teacher and I'm sorta ashamed to say that I still get excited about the possibility of a snow day. Usually you get a call the morning that the school day is cancelled but good news people...I got a call tonight and I confirmed it online, SNOW DAY TOMORROW!!! The temperature is so low that the school officials are afraid all the kids who walk to and from school might freeze to the sidewalk halfway to school. Now, I don't write this to make all of you non-teachers jealous. I just wanted to share the pure joy I'm experiencing at this moment with someone and Josh isn't here at the moment, so lucky you!

Snow day really doesn't happen for teachers up here. They have to go to school even when it is -57 and so that is not great. It would be a storm that shut down the whole town before they let the teachers off. I wish it was different cause I know lots of them as friends and I wouldn't want to got out in lots of our days this winter but they have too. Now me I stay home when it gets too cold. A country road is a bad place to freeze solid...
Anywho glad for your snow day you are a lucky girl!!!!
